As company auditors and advisers we have national and international purchasing cooperatives among our clients. Our range of services includes the statutory annual and consolidated financial statements, advice on tax models (foreign connections, own syndicate insurance, leasing and financing companies), company set-ups and mergers, strategic alliances, reorganisations, establishing risk-management systems with rating systems, as well as the formation of joint ventures and subsidiaries. Our consultancy services support network groups in their multifarious tasks and strategic aims.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry
Our clients include a number of well-known national and international companies in this sector. Our range of services includes not only the audit of statutory annual and consolidated financial statements but also advice on tax models, business advice and advice on restructuring or reorganisation for our clients.
Wholesale and Retail Trade
We advise wholesale and retail businesses on all matters of trade law, tax law and operational activities. Alongside the audit of the annual financial statements as dictated by commercial law, we offer comprehensive tax advice and managerial concepts. Investment and financial advice, advice on company succession and the setting-up of risk management systems are the main focus of our industry expertise in this segment. Our comparative operating figures for the retail trade form the basis of rating systems used by the banks and purchasing cooperatives.
Food and Drinks Industry
Firms in the food industry have counted among our clients for many years. Our involvement ranges from the original production through to distribution and trading. We provide the companies with special services tailored to the particular needs of the industry in the areas of business management, strategic development, quality management, organisation/logistics as well as the environment and sales.
Hotel and Catering Industry
We advise national and internationally renowned companies in this sector. Our services include the annual and consolidated accounts drawn up under national law as well as the International Financial Reporting Standards.
Our management consultancy includes operative and management analyses, profitability reports, optimising of operating processes and advice on management succession as well as EDP.
We also have expertise in the negotiation of lease and management contracts.
Information Technology
The technological developments of the past years have led to the existence of many young mid-sized companies offering new products or services based on internet technology. E-mails and websites have become widespread within a short period of time. E-commerce and the development of internet and extranet applications further the communication with customers and business partners. We increasingly advise young businesses in this sector and attach great importance to providing integral support during all phases, which can range from supporting our clients from the conception phase through to their first listing on the stock exchange.
Media and Advertising Sector
Our company has served media businesses and their marketing companies for many years as auditors. Major advertising companies count among our clients as well. We assist in company start-ups and acquisitions at home and abroad in the form of due diligence audits.
We have also assisted in acquisitions for newspaper, magazine and book publishing houses. The knowledge gained in these projects helps us not only with the annual audits but also with tax compliance services and fiscal authority audits.
Production Industry
We look after mid-sized and large industrial companies in the production industry, some having been our clients for decades. We are well familiar with the particular issues of this sector, which include detailed cost accounting and inventory valuations.
Housing and Property
We are called in to explain and to develop the tax concept projects according to the economic intentions of the investors with regard to the choice of legal form and/or financing model (fund models, communal models, leasing, property companies, joint ventures, etc.). We can also resolve issues regarding property transfer tax and/or turnover tax problems or the use of special depreciation in good time.
According to need and to the specific problem involved, we can draw on different members of our association to form interdisciplinary working groups, in which highly qualified professionals from different legal areas join us in supporting the property-related activities of our clients. Working in close collaboration, we contribute from the legal angle in constructing tailor-made development and utilisation concepts for properties. We develop the legal basis for planned developments and support our clients before, during and after the construction phase with our well-founded and expert advice.
The Public Sector
We offer future-oriented advice and support to institutions and companies in the public sector, as well as those belonging to public bodies. With our experience and know-how, we support our clients in developing trend-setting strategies in light of changing parameters and increasing budgetary problems of the government.
Alongside the classic annual and consolidated accounts for own establishments and companies, we conduct special audits according to the special legislation in this sector. We produce and audit economic plans and conduct profitability and organisational examinations. Furthermore, we offer business and tax advice on introducing systems for early risk identification, on spin-offs, privatisations and public-private partnerships (PPP) and we assist in the transition from fiscal accounting (cameralistics) to commercial accounting systems (known in Germany as “New Commercial Finance Management – NCF”).
Tax-privileged Corporations and non-profit Organisations
We advise and represent tax-privileged and public corporations in all tax matters. Questions on public utility and on restructuring to optimise tax (e.g. separating off economic activities) are of particular importance to tax-privileged corporations. We also give advice on the setting-up of such companies and on restructuring, matters of particular importance to public corporations in the light of increased competition (e.g. in the hospital sector).
Our business advice is particularly extended to areas that are closely connected with accounting. These include financial, liquidity and profit budgets, the valuation of companies and participations, the organisation of accounting and reporting systems, advice on investment and cost accounting, advice on company restructuring as well as co-operations, mergers, company acquisitions and sales, and other changes in corporate form according to the statutes on company transformation.
Professional Associations and Boards
We advise professional associations and chambers on tax and business matters including the transition from fiscal accounting (cameralistics) to commercial accounting.
We audit the annual accounts of professional associations and boards including the off-setting and reconciliation accounts for the budget.
Hospitals and Social Services
Another focal point of our activities is auditing and advising hospitals and nursing homes. With the introduction of DRG flat rates (Diagnosis Related Groups) for nearly all hospital services, competition in the hospital sector is likely to increase to the point of crowding out. The need for hospitals to seek new forms of organisation and financing is becoming greater. Solutions may take the form of mergers and co-operations with other hospitals.
Private Client Service
Many owners of mid-sized businesses as well as the self-employed have a second “business” alongside their actual business (i.e. their private household) where we can expect to find financial arrangements that are of importance. We offer our clients advice and support in private financial matters. We conduct a detailed survey in the form of reports and valuations on all private assets. We offer security in the form of liquidity budgets and monitoring in all areas of budgeting and assets in the private sphere. Continual checks on private cash flows can be guaranteed by the documentation of private finances in a private bookkeeping system and by the annual comparisons with the private liquidity budgets. The decisive advantage for our clients is that all activities are coordinated by one partner, who ensures that the clients can easily keep track of all private assets.
