Our Employees

At present we have 200 employees, of whom 80 serve our clients as accountants and/or auditors.

The growing demands for qualified advice require highly qualified employees, who are able to produce pragmatic and detailed solutions to complex problems. This is why investment in advanced training for our employees has a high priority. We offer young employees and applicants the chance of making a successful career.

The knowledge of business and tax law gained by our employees during their academic education is complemented by practical training. Thanks to regular specialist and personal advanced training inside and outside the company we improve our employees’ competence and prepare them to provide the best possible service to our clients.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance measures mean that we keep checks on our own services. Our specialists’ work is coordinated by an internal quality assurance committee that produces and supervises guidelines for practice organisation and specialist work. We have been one of the first mid-sized audit companies to successfully complete the statutory quality control process (Peer Review). This review involves an examination and evaluation by an external and independent auditor and focuses on the practice organisation and the specialist work of all partners and employees.  Our involvement with an international association of independent accounting firms also guarantees a permanent enhancement of our quality procedures according to international standards.

Involvement in External Committees

Our company as well as our employees in their roles as accountants, tax advisors and lawyers are members in the relevant professional boards. We do not stop at the mandatory membership of our professional associations but also promote mid-sized enterprises in our profession by means of active involvement. One of our Partners is Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Chamber of Public Accountants as well as Federal President of the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Public Accountants.

Verhülsdonk & Partner is a member of the German Institute of Accountants (“Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer in Deutschland e.V. - IDW”). Our partners contribute towards promoting the specialist work of this institute by regular cooperation in working groups. In the interest of our specialist work we cultivate close relationships with the best German universities. Many of our managing directors have college lectureships.
